Horse Harmony

This painting is a fantasy of different types of horses, from dancing horses to carousel horses to horse show regalia in a total Horse Harmony.

Horse Harmony- 22" x 30" , acrylic on Arches watercolor paper, $500
Tiles $15.

After the Doug Walton workshop in February, 2000, I was inspired to try exploring this route to fantasy: Employing arbitrary shapes, repetition, abandonment and control. Letting the painting take me where it wanted to go. This is an area still unexplored by me, and one I'm looking forward to enjoying more in the future.

The elements of this work resided next to each other in my house, evoking a response: The antique bronze sculpture in front of the sketch from Earl Warren show grounds in which I incorporated all the banners and festive horse show regalia - the horse, Bionic Woman, winning first place, DANCED out of the arena to the music, creating Horse Harmony.
